Jon's Run/Stroll 5K - Team Molly

Howdy family and friends!

Thank you so much for your interest in participating in Jon's Run as we remember our sweet baby girl, Molly June.

A little about Molly: Molly was born on December 9, 2012 with a prolapsed cord. Doctors and nurses did not realize her cord was prolapsed (cord was coming out before her head, thus cutting off oxygen with every contraction) until it was almost too late. She was born not breathing and without a heartbeat. Doctors were able to revive her heart and help her start breathing. She spent a week in the NICU before passing away on December 16. Her little 7 pound 6 ounce body that would have otherwise been healthy and strong just could not live on its own.

A little about Jon's Run: Jon was a little baby born to my middle school choir teacher, Melissa French-Stephenson (very small world!). He unexpectedly died one day from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and Mrs. French (as I still call her) and her husband started this run in his memory. The event will be on May 11th and it's a run to remember all babies and children who have died, no matter what the cause of death and this will be their 11th year. Donations benefit Any Baby Can of San Antonio Center for Infant and Child Loss.

To register for the race, please select the group option to run with. We need at least 5 people to get the discount. It is $20 to register until April 29th and then it goes up to $25. If you do not register under the group, it's $25 for early registration and goes up to $30 after April 29th.

Thank you so much for considering Jon's Run with us as we remember and miss our little girl, Molly June. We love you, thank you and appreciate your support!
