Event Overview |
The holiday 5K favorite is getting bigger and SWEETER in 2014! Thanks to a partnership with Jack's Donuts Carmel, we are introducing the new Donut 5K with donuts at every water stop AND at the finish line with HOT CHOCOLATE. But wait there's more! The first 500 people registered will receive a Santa Hat and Beard. The event will again benefit our furry friends to help them find a good home. Prizes for the best dressed mutt, donut runner along with our traditional silent auction prizes, cash purse and pint glass age group awards.

Race Day
Saturday, December 20th
Monon Community Center - 1235 Central Park Drive East, Carmel, IN 46032
7:30 - 8:45 AM: Packet pick-up and registration ($35 on race day)
9:00 AM: start of the 5k run/walk
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Celebrate afterwards at the post-race party!
Following the event will again be a free post-race party including adult beverages and appetizers to help you enjoy the holidays. Party is for participants and their friends and families. Kids are welcome!

Awards |
The top three overall males and females and the first place in each each group will receive an award.
|
Course |
The course starts on 111th street heading west to the trails of Central Park West. Runners will start on the road for the first .3 then down to a narrow trail. The course loops around the pond and around the park to the Monon, then north to the path the runs parallel to 116th street then west to trail in Central Park East winding back to the Monon Center where the finish will be waiting for you just outside the doors of the Monon Community Center.

Benefiting
German Shepherd Rescue, Indianapolis Animal Care & Control and the Humane Shelter of Hamilton County.
They provide adoption services to pets needing good homes and relies on donations to operate. Bring a bag of dog or cat food or blankets to receive a prize from the gift table.
Last year's event produced a truck load!

Parking is available on both east and west sides of the Monon Community Center.
