Harvest Moon Hustle was the original race of the BRIN series. A full Harvest Moon provides a perfect opportunity for a night trail run.

The flat, fast, out-and-back course will be a great opportunity to set a PR, or simply enjoy the cool night air. There are approximately five bridge crossings on the 10K course!

After the race, join us for the after-party and awards ceremony at the Elmwood Fire Hall just down the street in Elmwood! We'll have a live band, beer and dinner!

Runners will start and finish at the city park in Elmwood, with the majority of the course being run on the MoPac trail. A short section of country road takes runners from the canopy of trees covering the MoPac trail to the beautiful Grandpa's Woods Golf Course, where runners make a turn-around loop before heading back to town in the ever-fading sunlight.

5K: SOLD OUT!

"Fast. Flat. And in the dark," says it all! This is a very fast, flat out-and-back course that just so happens to be run at dusk! This is a favorite race for many local runners. Oh, and did we mention it's on a Friday night & we literally give you a full BBQ meal, a beer and a live band for the same price that most races charge for some water & bagels after the race?

Whether it is your first 5K or your 50th, the only way you will be disappointed is if it sells out before you get registered!

Due to the unique nature of this event, we are asking that walkers not register. This is mainly for your safety, as there is an 80 minute course time limit, keep in compliance with the Lower Platte South NRD rules for the use of the trail.

Our insurance policy also requires that all strollers, dogs and even iPods be left at home. Please follow these requests for the safety of yourself and other runners on the course or you may be disqualified. Thank you for your understanding.

We also strongly encourage everyone to bring their own head lamps! Or purchase one when they register!

Top 3 overall male & female finishers in the 10K & 5K.
New this year: Age group awards for the 10K will also be up for grabs!

Please note the BRIN Running Series does not offer finisher medals. The HMH Koozies will be handed out to all finishers. Finisher certificates can be printed at onlineracereaults.com

The 'Extra Mile After-Party' will begin at 7:45 PM and is included in your race registration. This year's after-party will be at the Elmwood Fire Hall to help accommodate our growing event. The after-party includes a live band, FREE beer along with your HMH coozie, and BBQ dinner from Parker's Smokehouse!
