Event Description |
This route is probably the most scenic 5K, step for step, on the coast. Park at the MAC Center and you will be shuttled a short way to the staging area. Start on Lighthouse Rd. from the bay, run up a short sand road to a water station and the Lighthouse State Park. From here run past Coast Guard housing and incredible views of the jetties and boats coming and going. Up next is the approx. 1 mile trail around Lake Marie where people fish, kids swim, and wildlife abounds. Finish by heading back the way you came, but you will continue past the start back to where you parked.
Packet pick up and race day registration will be available from 9:00 - 9:45 AM.

5K route starts on pavement moves onto sand briefly, includes gravel/dirt lake trail. There is some elevation. Click here to view online.

Rules |
Participants may run or walk. Ribbons not given for walk times. Dogs allowed but be thoughtful of others on narrow lake trail and be prepared to collect any waste. Strollers not allowed, they will have trouble on the sand hill and roots on the lake trail.
