Overview

Pinnacle Bank and the Lincoln Track Club invite you to run in the 34th Annual Havelock Charity Run. Runners may enter either the 10k or 3k races, both of which start in front of Pinnacle Bank at 6145 Havelock Avenue. Both races finish in Havelock Park, where there will be fruit, bagels, and drinks for all to enjoy. All early entrants will receive a T-shirt and a prize.

The Pinnacle Bank Team Challenge

Either race may be entered as an individual or as part of a four to seven person team. Teams will designate a charity (from the list provided), and if at least four members finish the race, Pinnacle Bank will donate $50 to that charity. If your team runs faster than the Pinnacle Bank Team (comprised of Pinnacle Bank employees) in your race, Pinnacle will donate $75. It's a great way to partner with Pinnacle Bank to help make our local charitable organizations stronger! This year we will also be giving out stickers for team members to wear on their backs during the race that identify which charity they are running for!

How to Enter

Entry registration is done online by clicking on the link at the top of this page. Entry fee is $20 for the 10k race, $15 for the 3k race. Online registration for teams is open until 11:59 PM CDT on Monday June 4. Individuals may also complete a late registration at the Friday early packet pickup location for $25. (Cash and checks are accepted for late registration; however there is no guarantee that late entrants will receive a T-shirt.)

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup: Friday, June 8 from 10AM-6:30PM at Pinnacle Bank, 40th and South Street.
Race day pickup: Saturday, June 9 from 6:30-7:00AM at 62nd and Havelock Avenue

Awards

All runners who register early will receive a T-shirt. In each race gift certificates will be awarded to the top three male finishers, top three female finishers and overall wheelchair finisher. Gift certificates will also be awarded to a maximum of seven team members of the top three teams in each division and distance. A pair of running shoes will be given to one youth under 14 and one adult through a random drawing of race day participants.

Kid's Grand Prix

This is the third LTC Kids Grand Prix race. Grand Prix runners should enter online and pay the normal entry fee.
Kids 12 and under - $5
Kids 13 and older - $10.

Parking

We suggest parking south of Havelock Avenue and west of 63rd Street. Parking is also available at St Patrick's Church, 6216 Morrill, and at the Goodyear Recreation Center, 6224 Logan. Please do not park on Havelock Avenue east of 60th Street or on 63rd Street south of Havelock Avenue. Avoid the parking lots of businesses that are open on race day.

Team Rules

[list=1]

  • Any group of runners may form a team. Each team must have a captain who is responsible for creating the team entry and a team pass code on the registration page. The team captain also selects the team category, charity and race distance.
  • There is no team entry fee; each team member pays the entry fee when registering. Additional team members select the team name from the menu and enter the pass code when entering.
  • Teams may have a maximum of seven members; team scores for the Pinnacle Bank Challenge are calculated by adding the times of the top four finishers (with the exception of Mixed Teams).
  • Special team eligibility requirements:
[*]Youth: members must be age 14 or younger
    • Mixed: at least two members of each gender must count in the score
    • [*]Corporate: employees and family members are eligible

  • Additional Comments

While all participants should know the course, it is particularly important for slower participants (13:44/mile pace or slower) since course volunteers will leave 1-1/2 hours after the start of the race. Slower participants will be allowed to finish but may be asked to move off the street and to the sidewalk for their own safety. The finish line might be disassembled and no guarantees if there will be any food left.

The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Havelock Charity Run encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of either the 10K or 3K races.
It is not permissible for runners or walkers to be accompanied by dogs, leashed or unleashed, in either race.

Teams must choose from the charities listed on the menu online; no exceptions will be allowed.
