Shoot'n For Christina

On July 7, 2011, Christina Garrett was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). TNBC treatment options remain allusive; recent advancements fail to treat successfully TNBC. After undergoing a lumpectomy to remove four tumors and two rounds of chemotherapy, Christina has chosen to decline further western medicine treatments. She is choosing alternative modalities that will build her immune system rather than destroy it and seeks to balance her body, which will enable her body to heal itself. Medical insurance does not provide assistance to pay for alternative modalities.

Christina has dedicated her life to helping children and families. She is a wife, mother to 16 children, advocate, therapeutic foster, adoptive, and biological parent, mentor, and volunteer. We trust that all the positive contributions our family has made over the years will come full circle. The generosity of others will allow Christina to have an opportunity to become healthy and continue to live, laugh, and love. Proceeds from Shoot'n for Christina will benefit the Corvallis High School Basketball Program and Christina's Real Talk breast cancer fund.
