Newburgh Rivertown Trail 5K

Late registration and packet pick-up will be held at the Newburgh Town Hall located at 23 West Jennings Street in Newburgh on Friday, May 4 from 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. CT. Race day packet pick-up will be from 6:00 a.m. through 8:30 a.m. CT. Late registration ends at 7:30 a.m. on race day.

Join your fellow runners and walkers for the Newburgh Rivertown Trail 5-K. Proceeds from the event will be used for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep for the Newburgh Rivertown Trail.

The point-to-point course will start on Old SR 662 near the entrance to Indiana Hill Overlook Park and will travel west along the Trail adjacent to French Island Trail to East Water Street to Jennings Street through Historic Downtown Newburgh. Participants will re-enter the Rivertown Trail at the Aurand Trailhead near Yorkshire Road. The race will finish on Water Street near the offices of the Town of Newburgh Offices. Along the way, participants will enjoy The Newburgh Rivertown Trail's spectacular views of the Ohio River and Historic Downtown Newburgh.

The first 500 finishers will receive the 2012 Newburgh Rivertown Trail 5K medal.

TIMING - Chip timing will be provided by To The Finish, LLC. Participants will receive their chips at packet pick-up. The chip, which should be attached to each participant's shoe, interacts with sensor mats at the start, finish and various locations along the course to provide an actual time. Participants are responsible for returning their chip after the race. A $30.00 charge will be assessed if the chip is not returned. Each participant must wear a race-issued chip in order to receive an official time.

SCORING - Overall and Age Group Winners will be awarded based on official chip times.

PARKING - Parking for the event is available in downtown Newburgh and at the Newburgh Elementary School. Transportation will not be available following the event to participants parked near the start.

TRANSPORTATION - Elementary School will be available to transport participants to thestart near the Newburgh Locks & Dam. Shuttle service will begin at 7:30 a.m. and continue until 8:40 a.m. You must have an official bib number to ride the shuttle.
