The first run of the fall is Fremont Oktoberfest tradition with the 9th annual Fremont Oktoberfest 5K presented by Pyramid Breweries, September 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Solstice Plaza (near the intersection of N 34th St and Fremont Ave N). Run for the glory, stay for the beer.

Day of Schedule:
8:00 AM: Day of Race Registration and Pre-Registration Number and T-Shirt Pick-Up
9:45 AM: Day-of Race Registration Ends
10:00 AM: 5K Race Begins
10:30 AM: MOViN 92.5 Rehab Party at the Oktoberfest Village Stage

Be a part of the 2012 Fremont Oktoberfest official 5K run and walk. The starting line is located at N. 34th street. and Fremont Ave N. at the Adobe Solstice Plaza. The course goes east along N. 34th St continuing along N. Pacific St. At Latona Ave NE the course turns west onto the Burke Gilman Trail and continues under the Fremont Bridge ending just past Phinney Ave N.

Finish Line activities are just a few steps away at the Village Stage at Phinney Ave N. and N. 35th St.

Don't let that Beer Belly stop you from running! Join the elite Beer Belly Division, where you will be treated like Oktoberfest royalty.

If you are asking yourself, "How do I become a member of this highly acclaimed group of runners?" the answer is jump on a scale and see if you are qualified for this prestigious position. Those men who are 220 lbs. plus and women who are 180 lbs. and over are eligible to enter this division.

Besides earning the respect and admiration of fellow racers who recognize your achievements, you will be honored with an unfair advantage of starting first, and thus ensuring your possibility of getting to the beer garden finish line before the pack!

• Bring your entourage (up to four people total) to this year's race and compete for the team with the fastest time.
  
• The race times of all the team members are totaled up and averaged out to get your team's overall time.
  
• Gather your quickest sprinters and add some flair by coming in costume.
  
• May the fastest team win!
  

• Sunday is Dogtoberfest at Fremont Oktoberfest.
  
• Your dog is welcome to run with you, and even go in the beer garden afterward.
  
• Must be well mannered and on a leash.
