Big Creek Tri

Iowa's oldest triathlon, Big Creek Tri, will celebrate it's 31st anniversary at Big Creek State Park, near Des Moines.

Olympic Distance:
Swim: 1.5K swim
Bike: 40K out-and-back bike
Run: 10K run (2 - 5K loops)

Sprint Distance:
Swim: 750 meter swim
Bike: 21K bike
Run: 5K run

Male and female age group categories are: Elite, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+, Athena and Clydesdale

Prizes

• The top five male and female athletes will receive awards.
  
• The top three athletes in each age group (male and female) will receive awards.
  
• The top three male, female and co-ed teams will receive awards.
  
• Note: Athletes who race in Elite wave will not be eligible for age group prizes.

• Spooky Cross (cyclocross), October (Date TBD), West Des Moines
  

This event will be held rain or shine in accordance with USAT Triathlon guidelines and with athlete and volunteer safety made the top priority.

Registration Transfer Policy: No cash refunds are available for any reason. Options: (1) Entry fees can be applied toward the 2012 Big Creek Tri event if written notice is received at least 30 days prior to the event; (2) An entry fee can be transferred to another athlete by contacting race directors with a written or email notice from the original registrant and is received 14 days prior to the event. All transfers are subject to a $25 processing fee.
