Polar Bear Run

The University of Denver (DU) Winter Carnival Program is happy to announce the Eighth Annual Polar Bear Run, with all proceeds benefitting the Bridge Project. Each entrant receives a long sleeved t-shirt and post-event refreshments provided by our sponsors. We invite you to participate in this unique event, but don?t forget to dress warm!!

Where: Washington Park, Denver, CO. From I-25, take the University exit southbound. Then take an immediate right turn onto Buchtel. Go north over the Franklin Bridge and this will take you to the park. You will want to park at South High School. The starting line is across Louisiana in the southeast part of Washington Park.

Results: Available online at www.bkbltd.com within 24 hours of the event. Results will be edited for two weeks following the event. After two weeks, results will be closed for editing.

9:00 AM - race day registration
10:00 AM - 5k run start time
10:02 AM - 5k walk start time
11:00 AM - awards ceremony

before race day: $15 (DU students), $20 (others)
race day: $20 (DU students), $25 (others)

Individual awards will be given to the top two men and women in the 5k run in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
