Youth Outreach Main Street Mile

Make your best mile even better at this incredibly fast, one mile downhill race. The course begins at the top of Main Street hill at Running Central and proceeds down the hill into downtown Peoria and ends at Washington Street. Everyone is welcome to participate as there will be multiple waves of this race - from walkers to elite runners trying to eclipse the 4-minute barrier!

You never know...the 4 minute mile could be broken for the first time on Peoria soil!

Wednesday, July 7th, from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM at Running Central on Main.

Race day pick up will be from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Guaranteed to all participants registering before June 27th, 2010.

Participants are encouraged to park at the Peoria Riverfront (Gateway Building, RiverPlex or Caterpillar lots).
Bus transportation to the course starting line begins at 5:15 PM at the Gateway Building.

• All Competitors will be assigned to a group based on estimated finishing times for proper positioning at the starting line.
  


• Heats start at 6:00 PM with the Walkers going first and the Fastest runners going last.
  


• All heats based on seed times and heat information will be available at packet pickup.
  


• Please Be Accurate: A slower runner who gets ahead of faster participants at the starting line creates a severe hazard.
  


• Properly assess your time and list it accordingly.
  


• Runners not supplying finish times will be placed in the slowest group!
