Distances |
Swim: 600 yards in Lake Petersburg
Bike: 18 miles on gently rolling and lat prairie roads
Run: 4.4 miles through the 1800s New Salem Pioneer
Village

Pre-Race Meeting (Mandatory) |
15 minutes prior to star t time at Lake Petersburg.
Helmets required for all bikers. All swimmers must wear the appropriate swim cap provided in your race packet.

Post-Race Lunch |
Entry fee includes free post-race picnic style lunch following the event.

A block of rooms is reserved for triathletes at RiverBank Lodge.

Awards / Race Goodies |
Awards for each event will be presented after the last runner crosses the finish line and will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, top three males and females in each age group, top three Athena (female over 140 lbs.) and Clydesdale (male over 200 lbs), and the top male, female and coed teams. Overall Male, Female, Clydesdale and Athena winners will receive gift certificates from R&M Cyclery in Springfield. Must be present to win awards -- no mailed awards.
Custom short-sleeve t-shirts and water bottles guaranteed to pre-registered athletes. Compliments of the Springfield Running Center, one lucky male and one lucky female triathlete will be randomly chosen to win a new pair of running shoes during the post race meal.
New this year, all racers will have an equal chance to the many raffle items by simply entering the race. While you are racing the timing system will randomly choose winners of raffle items provided by Hammer Nutrition, R&M Cyclery and Springfield Running Center. The winning numbers will be displayed at the awards ceremony and you simply pick up your sealed bag to see what you have WON.
