31st Annual LaPorte YMCA Triathlon |
The 31st running of the LaPorte YMCA Triathlon takes place at 8 a.m. (local time) Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at Soldiers Memorial Park in LaPorte.
The race entails a quarter-mile lake swim, a 12.4-mile bike and a 3.4-mile run. The course begins in Solders Memorial Park at the Stone Lake Beach House and winds through scenic LaPorte County.
The triathlon, which features chip timing, includes male and female divisions for ages 12 and up, as well as team categories. Overall and Masters (age 40 or older) champions will also be recognized.
The entry deadline is July 29 and there will be no registration the day of the race.
Fees include a t-shirt, cinch sack, beverage koozie, swim cap, race number and post-race snack.
