Drive Fore Children With Cancer Golf Challenge

It is time again for the 12th annual "Drive Fore Children With Cancer" golf tournament hosted by the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Greater Fort Worth. This year's tournament will again be held at the Woodhaven Country Club in East Fort Worth.

CANCER!
More children die from cancer in America than from any other disease. One out of four kids diagnosed with cancer will die within the next 5 years; 1 of 3 will get sick again; and 1 out of 2 will get some form of brain damage due to chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Families' lives are turned upside down.

Candlelighters is dedicated to insuring that these families do not have to endure this crisis alone. Since 1992 we have helped hundreds of families face this tragedy by offering emotional support and financial assistance; picking up where other agencies leave off.

7:00 - 8:00 AM - Registration, pastries, putting, driving range

Our organization also provides referrals to other agencies that can be of vital service to families in need-including the Department of Human Resources, Cancer Care Services, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and many more. Many times, families are unaware of help available within their own communities. Candlelighters strives to open the door to these resources and help guide families toward full utilization of existing services.
