Go Girl Triathlon

Please be aware that the blue-green algae in Eagle Creek Reservoir is at a high count. This has been a trend with our August triathlon over the last few years. We will still conduct a triathlon and have a spray hose at the finish of the swim. If you have sensitive skin, you are welcome to switch to the duathlon option (2 mile run instead of swim). The Go Girl Triathlon is Indianapolis' first ever women's only triathlon for both the experienced and beginner type. The distances are 500 meter swim, 10 mile bike and 3 mile run. Scenic Eagle Creek Park will host this event. The event is limited to 500 individuals and 50 teams. Event benefits The Julian Center.

The event is located at Eagle Creek Park on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Parking is available just inside of Eagle Creek Park. Your entry fee pays for your parking into Eagle Creek (a $4 value)! A parking pass will be sent to you before the event. For location map and further directions go to www.tuxbro.com

You may pick up your packet and register late (if event has not reached its limit) on Friday, August 27 at the Runners Forum Store located at 620 Station Drive, Carmel, IN 46032 from 5 to 8 PM. You may also pick up your packet at Eagle Creek site on event morning from 6:15 to 7:15AM.

Age groups are as follows: 14-17, 18-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34...75+ There is also a Fat Tire division for those wishing to use mountain bikes (wheels must be a minimum of 1.5 inches and have upright handlebars) - note: if you are in the fat tire division, you will not be in the age group division.

The top 3 overall finishers will receive separate awards - The top finishers (minimum of 3) in each age category will also receive nice awards. Awards will be presented immediately after the event has completed.

Relay teams compete in a relay format - one person swims, then one person bikes then one person runs. The top 3 in each division will receive awards - get a team and have some fun!
