How It Works |
Novice Division - triathlon style race
Two team members, Males, Females, or Coed Teams. "The Great Adventure Race" will consist of a trail run, mountain bike, boat race, bike & tie, and a mystery event, in no particular order. Each member will race together throughout the event and will check-in at common check points together and eventually finish the race together as a team. The race order, distances, and instructions will be given out at the mandatory team meeting on Sunday at 8:00am at the packet pick-up area. Approximate distances are as follows: 3-5 miles Trekking, 7-10 mile mountain bike, 1/2 mile boat trip. We will supply your boat in this division, which means you need to supply everything (except the boat) to get you and your partner from start to finish (paddles and life vest). There will be no aid stations, but you will come back to your transition pit at least three times during the race. The mystery event can be at any segment of the race-Enough said, that's why it is a mystery event.
Required Items for the Race: Mountain Bikes, Boat Paddles, First Aid Kit, Life Jackets, Bike Helmets, whistle, pen and a 1 gallon zip lock back to carry your passport in.
Other Items to make it a Little Easier: H20, Energy Drink, GU, Clif Bars, Hydration Pack, Towels, Rope, Bike Pump
