20th Annual Bisbee 1000 - THE GREAT STAIRCLIMB |
Come to our party, help us celebrate 20 years of the Bisbee 1000, the most unique physical fitness challenge in the USA. The only MILE HIGH outdoor stair climb in the USA. "A 5k that feels like a 10k." Described by returning fans as the highest and longest Stairmaster in the world, the Bisbee 1000 is not to be missed. It is like an escorted tour through the picturesque European-style community of OLD BISBEE, barely changed since 1900. The historic re-enactment of delivering ice up stairs has turned into the Iceman Competition, where the fittest of the fit compete for cash as you gamble your strength and determination against the clock, climbing up 155 stairs carrying a 10 lb block of ice in antique metal tongs. Then relax at the Made In Bisbee Marketplace with music, art, food, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
