About Our Beneficiary |
Therapetics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that trains service dogs to assist Oklahomans with physical disabilities. The dogs we train can open and close doors, pull a wheelchair, provide balance, turn on and of lights, retrieve dropped items and go get help. It can take up to 2 years and more than $14,000 to train one of these extraordinary dogs for partnership. However, because of our generous supporters we are able to provide them FREE OF CHARGE to qualified applicants. Lots of different kinds of people use service dogs... People with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Paraplegia, Quadriplegia, Arthritis and many others.
