Club Events
The New Year's Day run and potluck, summer picnic, Annual Meeting and Banquet, Capital Circuit, and other special events are just some of the activities sponsored by the Club.
Training Runs
Enjoy long (or short) runs with other Strider members at the Winter/Spring Training Run, Summer/Fall Training Run, Marathon Speed Training, Beginning Runners Training and more.
Merchant Discounts
Capital Striders members receive a discount at many area merchants selling fitness equipment, nutrition, physical therapy, and more.
Race Entry Discounts
Strider members enjoy reduced race entry fees Loop the Lake, Capital Pursuit and many local races.
Support the Community
Striders give back to the Greater Des Moines area in a variety of ways including college scholarships, supporting area youth track clubs and more.
Sustaining Membership
Go above and beyond the regular membership fees and become a sustaining member for an additional $25 or more - this amount is tax deductible. Check to see if your employer has a matching contribution program to 501(c)(3) organizations, like Capital Striders.
