Summer Games University

SGU is for those who have completed 5th grade through 12th.

Due to the limited capacity of 400 campers please note full payment is due by JULY 1ST to ensure you have completed the registration process.

Your satellite choice may be chosen on step 2 of the online registration process. List your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. You will be given your 1st choice if not full. All events have limited capacity - if you do not choose a satellite, one will be chosen for you.

01 - Praise, Worship Music and Ministry Leadership - Led by band members, pastors and worship leaders, this satellite will use a variety of experiences to teach the basics of leading worship at your youth group or church. The satellite will participate in a worship service.

02 - Drama - Led by excellent actors, this satellite will teach some basic acting, script writing and set building fundamentals and construct a "professional" quality skit to be a part of the evening Worship Service.

03 - Science - Led by science professors and others, take time to explore the natural world through scientific discovery and experiments.

04 - Art - Led by art instructors and students learn some art fundamentals and create your own projects.

05 - Football Skills - Coaches will lead students in the practice and development of skills needed for this sport.

06 - Volleyball Skills - Coaches will lead students in the practice and development of skills needed for this sport.

07 - Basketball Skills - Coaches will lead students in the practice and development of skills needed for this sport.

08 - Soccer Skills - Coaches will lead students in the practice and development of skills needed for this sport.

09 - Scrap booking - This satellite will build a scrapbook for their week at camp after learning some basic scrap booking and photography skills.

10 - Video Games - This satellite will (using games rated appropriate to our age group) allow participants to compete with and against each other in large groups

11 - Swimming - This satellite will utilize the Grinnell indoor pool facility for swimming and water games.

12 - Mission Project - Spend your satellite time serving the community of Mt. Pleasant. Projects may include painting, yard work, repair or other projects for people of need in the community. Work in Mt. Pleasant

13 - Dance Team - Learn new dance moves and a dance routine that will be preformed for the camp.
