There is no entry fee for this run/walk event, yet we highly encourage a donation during your registration process. All major credit cards and debit cards are accepted.

All donations will benefit the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters (CHKD).

State Farm is passionate about the well-being of our neighbors in our communities. The purpose of this event is to promote healthy lifestyles for all individuals. Being overweight is one of our nation's top health problems, increasing the risk of life-threatening but preventable illnesses for more than 135 million Americans.

The 50 Million Pound Challenge is a national campaign initiated by Dr. Ian Smith in April 2007. State Farm teamed up with Dr. Ian Smith, physician, journalist and well-known author of The Fat Smash Diet to issue a 50 million pound weight loss challenge. The aim is to save lives by changing the lifestyle choices we make. We want people to give up the pounds, not the fight!

State Farm has selected Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters (CHKD) as the benefactor of this event. There is no fee to participate in this event; however, donations are encouraged. All proceeds will benefit this local, non-profit organization that is passionate about supporting healthy lifestyles.

7:30 AM: Race Day Check-in begins
9:00 AM: Start of Run/Walk 5K
10:00 AM: Post Party Begins
11:00 AM: Awards Ceremony

All registered participants will receive a 50 Million Pound Challenge t-shirt and sports bag. All participants will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a Wii, Wii Fit and other great prizes.

The first three male and female finishers will be awarded a State Farm Visa Bank card.
