Blue Ash Airport Days 5k

Since its beginning in 1997, Blue Ash Airport Days is an event staged by a group of volunteers who want to share their love en for aviation. This one-of-a-kind air show that benefits CCHMC Heart Center, now draws more than 20,000 people. The show features some of the nation's top aerobatic performers and Paul McCowan's sky diving team with the largest American flag being jumped in the USA. The airshow begins each year with the running of the Blue Ash Airport Days 5k Fun Run/Fitness Walk. Please be sure to stay for the airshow - Never Forget: A Tribute to Veterans.

5000 Meters (3.1 miles). The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
Course is certified (Certificate # OH 08077PR).

We have designed a new course for the 2008 5K race and walk! The run starts at the Wingate Inn on Glendale Milford Road and goes west to left on Plainfield Road, with a gentle down slope to left on Cooper. Up a few rolling hills to left on Reed Hartman Hwy to left on Glendale Milford and a fast finish on the straight way to the airport.

The race circles the airport and returns to airport ground for a free pancake breakfast.

The event supports both Cincinnati Children's Hospital Heart Center and Cincinnati Warbirds, a non-profit club dedicated to the preservation of historic aircraft.

Runners at 8:00 AM, walkers at 8:01 AM.

Or race day registration beginning at 6:55 AM. All registrations, with valid email address, will receive confirmation and race results.

Top overall male and female finishers will each receive a certificate for a helicopter ride at Airport Days. Additionally, the top 3 male/female runners and the top male/ female walker in each age division will receive a special award. To qualify for walking awards, participant MUST WALK the entire race.

Runners: 14 and under, 15 - 18, 19 - 24, 25 - 29, 30 - 24, 35 - 39,
40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70+.

Walkers: 19 and under, 20 - 30, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, and 60+.

Registrants receive a free ticket to the pancake breakfast following the 5k. (Includes sausage, bananas, juice and coffee.)

Additional tickets $5. All proceeds benefit Cincinnati Warbirds.
