Cinco de Mayo 5k Run

Fleet Feet Sports of Tulsa is pleased to present the 5TH ANNUAL CINCO DE MAYO Run. Events include a 5km race through downtown Tulsa and a one mile Fun Run.

Pre-registration will be available at Fleet Feet beginning April 28, 2008 during normal business hours (Mon-Wed 10 am to 7 pm, Thurs 10 am - 8 pm.)

The race starts and finishes at Veterans Park near 18th and Main in downtown Tulsa. The course runs into downtown, up and down Boston Avenue, turning at 3rd and Boston. The course is rolling upward the first half with a very fast downhill finish.

Overall Male and Female - 5 KM
Standard age groups (first three finishers) - 5 KM
Walkers (first three finishers) - 5 KM
Clydesdale and filly (first three finishers) - 5 KM
Ribbons to all Fun Run Finishers

The 5 km run will be timed using the ChampionChip. All runners and walkers in the 5 km run will need to wear a timing Chip on their shoe in order to receive a time and finish result. Chips will be distributed on race day at the Chip pick-up table which will be located next to the registration area. After you finish the race, please return your Chip in the finish chute. Volunteers will be available to assist you with Chip removal. Runners who do not return their Chips will be charged a $20 lost Chip fee.

The One Mile Fun Run will not be timed and a Chip is not required to participate in this event.

Proceeds form the event will benefit Tulsa Public Schools through our school challenge program, which awards local elementary schools based on participation. Youth Under age 12 can run the Fun Run for FREE or the 5km for just $5.00 (no shirt).
