Parent Code of Conduct
The YMCA youth sports are based upon certain beliefs and philosophies – participation and everyone plays. The YMCA encourages a healthy spirit, mind, and body. The Y emphasizes fundamentals, fair play, cooperation and respect for officials, volunteers, teammates, and the other team. Our philosophy is simply – everyone plays, everyone wins!

• I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all participants, coaches and officials.
  
• I will do my best to make this program fun for my child and I understand our goal is to emphasize fun over winning.
  
• I will ask my child to treat coaches, volunteers, officials, other teams and teammates with respect regardless of race, age, sex, creed or ability.
  
• I will recognize the importance of volunteer coaches and volunteer referees/officials. These volunteers are key in our youth sports programs!
  
• I will strive to be a role model for my child and other children in this program.
  
• I will communicate efficiently and respectfully with coaches, officials and directors.
  
• I understand my child’s team is guaranteed one game each Saturday. Some teams will play double headers in the event of uneven teams if necessary.

• I will not use inappropriate language. This includes swearing.
