The average temperatures for early May range from 45 in the morning to 67 in the afternoon. The weather is unpredictable so come prepared. There will be no refunds, exchanges or deferrals of race entry.

Course:
Whether you're a lifelong local or an out -of-towner, we hope to see you on May 4, 2019 at Texas Oncology. Amarillo Marathon reserves the right to change the course as needed prior to race date. In accordance with the guidelines issued by USA Track & Field and Wheelchair Sports USA, only runners, walkers and wheelchair participants will be allowed on the course.
Amenities:
There will be water stations approximately every two miles and some will include music. Additionally, water stations will have Gel Hammer, water, sports drink, bananas, oranges, and dark chocolate covered bacon. Post‐race amenities include: free massages, pizza and hot dogs.

All proceeds for this special event stay in Amarillo and benefit Panhandle Cancer Cure Foundation (PCCF). PCCF assists patients who have cancer or blood diseases. PCCFs primary goal is to provide patients with monetary support for rent/mortgage payments, utilities, fuel expenses and hotel stays (if traveling for treatment), and medical insurance premiums.
