Grant Wheeler graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1985. Grant was passionate about music, cars, the Green Bay Packers, running, and his family. Married, and the father of two young boys, Grant was killed in a tragic car accident in 2002 preparing to leave to run the Twin Cities Marathon.

In 2003, an Endowment Fund was established to award scholarships annually to area senior distance runners who share Grant's passion for running and his faith, displaying it through strength of character and acts of love and encouragement.

Since 2004 this event has funded 82 scholarships totaling nearly $80,000. This year's race entry fees will go directly to scholarships to be awarded in 2018.

This year will mark the 17th and final GWM Faith 5K. We have a goal to eclipse $100,000 in scholarships awarded next Spring. To accomplish this, we will need to raise close to $20,000 this year.

Please join us october 27th as we celebrate and encourage the youth of our Cedar Valley who make a difference each and every day.

The church opens at 8:00 a.m.
Race begins at 9:00 a.m.

Orchard Hill Reformed Church is located just North of Greenhill Road off Orchard Hill Drive.

The community center is located on the East end of the church. It will be open before and after the race.

Refreshments will be served and awards will be handed out in the community center.

Race packets and late registration are available at Orchard Hill Church in the Community Center (east end) on Friday, October 26th between 5 and 6:00 PM and Saturday morning between 8:00 and 9:00 AM.

Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners and to ALL of our participants age 19 and under as we strive to help our young people build on their physical and spiritual aspirations.

A beautiful long sleeved commemorative t-shirt for all entrants. Shirt sizes can not be guaranteed for entries received after 10/22.

Race Finish: South parking lot (off Orchard Hill Drive)
