The Iowa Quad Cities Rotary Club is helping to Build a Miracle and we need your help!

Back in 1989, the Iowa Quad Cities Rotary Club was instrumental in establishing Challenger Little League, a program that allows boys and girls with physical, mental or developmental challenges to play and enjoy the game of baseball like every other child. Our club continues
to support the league with funding and volunteer hours. The league has enjoyed great success but traditional baseball fields were simply not built for wheel-chairs and walkers and present some very real dangers for these players.

Enter Miracle Field, an ambitious undertaking led by the Davenport Parks & Recreation to create a baseball specifically designed to be not only physically accessible, but also safe for people with disabilities. The project will entail building a special field with rubberized
surfacing and special dugouts, and making other modifications to the rules of the game so that players of all abilities can experience the delight of playing the sport and being part of a team.

On Saturday, August 25th from 3-6pm, the Iowa Quad Cities and Davenport Rotary Clubs are teaming up for Miracle Field Family Fest at Prairie Heights Park in Davenport to raise money for this worthy effort.
