Drew's Story |
Drew Ryan Schaaf passed away in the early morning hours on July 11th 2010, just 2 1/2 weeks after he was born. Drew's father Dan, was trying to soothe him to sleep when they both fell asleep together on the family's couch. During the night, Drew shifted and suffocated. Although his time on this earth was brief, the positive impact he has had on the lives of so many is profound.
Drew's Faithful Feet has created a partnership with Mamie's Poppy Plates, Trinity Unity Point, CHOI and OSF of Peoria and Hammond Henry Hospital, to provide tangible mementos to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death. Drew's Faithful Feet serves to support families who are grieving the loss of an infant, educate parents and caregivers on safe sleep environments for infants, and inspire others to have hope for their future.
