Party & Awards Ceremony: Music, refreshments and awards immediately following at Bob Hope Village

The race director reserves the right in event of an emergency or natural disater to cancel the event or change the day and/or time to a later date. In event of cancellation, there is no refund of event fees. Please no pets, skates, or roller blades. No refunds.

• Race packet pick up dates: September 21st & 22nd 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the Bob Hope Village Commons 30 Holly Avenue, Shalimar, FL 32579
  
• Registration and packet pick up available the morning of the race starting at 6:00 a.m. (Cannot guarantee t-shirt if registering on race day.)
  
• Course description: The run will start at Bob Hope village, wind through Poquito Bayou and back to Bob Hope Village. Residents of Bob Hope Village will be there to cheer you along the course on as you complete the race.

• About the Air Force Enlisted Village
  

The Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose core mission is to provide a safe, secure home for surviving spouses of retired enlisted U.S. airmen. AFEV operates Bob Hope Village, an independent living community with an assisted living and memory support residence, Hawthorn House. All funds raised from this event will go directly into the operating fund and will be used to provide care for all residents.

AFEV understands that low pay and frequent military moves leave some spouses without careers, home equities, retirement plans or significant assets, or an unexpected tragedy or insurmountable medical expenses can deplete retirement savings. AFEV's Benevolent Fund provides financial assistance for surviving spouses of retired enlisted airmen while residing at Bob Hope Village and Hawthorn House. Here, they live among peers sharing memories of military life without the stigma normally associated with subsidized housing.
