Join us at our 7th annual Pet Expo and 5K! Bring your dog and enjoy a morning of fun mixed with fitness for a cause!
Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. and the race will start at 9:00 a.m.. It will start at Campbell Park in Clive and then go through Clive city streets and part of the Clive Greenbelt before ending back in Campbell Park. A fun costume contest for participating dogs will be held at 8:30 a.m. with prizes given to the best costumes!
This is a 5K Run/Walk so for the competitive types, prizes will be given for the top finishers!
Registration is $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event.
We will be having a best costume contest in addition to the fun run/walk.
This event will help raise money for the Junior Chamber International Clive and Furry Friends, a local no-kill animal shelter that records over 1,000 adoptions each year. Refreshments and treats will be provided.
The Woofin' It 5K received the William B. Robertson Memorial Award for the Best Local Community Empowerment Project from the United States Junior Chamber in June 2013.

Is any type of dog allowed?
No dogs are allowed as spectators or participants that are female in any state of heat. Please consider your dog's age during the race. Dogs younger than 1 year have not fully developed their bones and joints and racing or over exerting your youngster may cause permanent damage or later issues.
Do I need a leash?
Yes, for the safety of all -- dogs must be on a leash the entire time.
What about vaccinations?
It is required for all dogs to have Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations current on race day. We will be taking your word for it, remember you are responsible.
Will there be waste cans for the dogs?
Yes, and we ask that all owners be responsible for pick up. Human facilities also available.
Is there a limit to how many dogs I can bring?
You do NOT have to bring a dog to participate, everyone is welcome. We ask that a maximum of 2 dogs per person attend.
Can I adopt a dog for the event?
Yes, Furry Friends will be providing up to 10 dogs for adoption during the event. They require you to be at least 16 years old and that you sign a waiver upon arrival at the event. If you're under 18 you will need a parent to sign the waiver. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 4/30 to request a dog.
Can I donate without participating?
Yes, you can bring pet supplies, listed on the Furry Friends Wish List (http://www.furryfriendsrefuge.org/index_files/volunteer.htm) to the event.
You can also become a Virtual Runner by donating via PayPal.
Will the event be cancelled due to weather?
Rain or shine, we will be there.
Where/when do I pick up my packet?
You can pick up your packet on the morning of the race, starting at 8:00am.
Can I register day of?
Yes. We take cash or check written to Clive Jaycees. The fee will be $30 day of.
Where can we park?
Plenty of parking will be available. There is a parking lot at the park and if we run out of space we can park in the grass.
