General Event Details

Race Date: February 18th, 2017

  • 5K Run/Walk Registration 7:00 AM; Start Time: 8:00 AM MyLaps Bib Tag Sports Timing System (RFID Technology)
  • 1 Mile Run/Walk Registration 7:00-8:00 AM; Start Time: 8:45 AM (strollers allowed - no pets)
  • Race Day Registration: $25.00

On-site during the HCC Hawk Run/Walk will also be:

  • A Health Fair for the students and the public
  • Food Vendor for non-race participants
  • Health and Wellness Poster Contest for Students - Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place (for more information and to register to participate go to www.hcchawkrunpostercontest.eventbrite.com)
  • Health and Wellness Fine Arts Contest for Students-Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place (for more information and to register to participate go to www.hcchawkrunartcontest.eventbrite.com)

For HCC Employees with Humana Health Insurance

  • You can earn 250 points for participating in the 5K Run/Walk
  • Humana Insurance will be on-site providing Wellness Checks for Go365 members; members can earn up to 4000 points depending on when they have had their last assessment. Location: BSSB 128
  • Non-members can have a health assessment at a cost of $36/screening.
  • If you are not a Go365 member, you can sign up on-site and earn points.

Race Includes

Your Brandon Hawk 5K entry fee includes a race t-shirt, finisher's medal and post-race food! Must regsiter by 2/11/17 to be guaranteed a t-shirt and medal.

For 5K Run: Standard 5 year groups, 14 and under, and 65 and over. Certificates for top three finishers in each age group.

There are awards for the top three male and female finishers in the following groups (one prize per person):

  • Non-students (1st, 2nd and 3rd Places)
  • Masters (1st, 2nd and 3rd Places)
  • Student participants: 1st Place-$250, 2nd Place-$100 and 3rd Place-$75 Book Scholarships

Packet Pick-Up

Early packet pickup will be available at the HCC Brandon Cyber Cafe, 1st floor, next to Admin. building from 3:00 - 6:00 PM Thursday, February 16th and Friday, February 17th.

Race Day Packet Pickup will be in the Student Services Building parking lot starting at 7:00 AM.

HCC Employee Departments can arrange for packets to be delivered to their campus.

Parking Information

Please use the parking lots on the South side of campus accessed from East Columbus Drive. Parking is FREE.The new entry, Nancy Watkins Drive, will be closed on the morning of the race. Follow signs to the student services building.
