The average temperatures for mid April range from 41 to 62. The weather is unpredictable so come prepared. There will be no refunds, exchanges or deferrals of race entry.

Cash prize to first Male and Female for full and half marathon. Finisher shirts for marathon finishers. Medals for all finishers including 1st & 2nd place Age Division, Medals for winning Relay Divisions

There will be water stations approximately every two miles with water and Sustain Sport hydration drink.  Additionally, some water stations will have Gel Hammer and a wide variety of food and snacks.    The great post—race Expo will have amenities including, entertainment, and free massages.

Whether you're a lifelong local or an out -of-towner, we hope to see you on April 8, 2017 at Texas Oncology.  Course map will include relay exchange points.    Each relay team consists of 4 relay legs.    Each relay point will have a port-a-potty.  Amarillo Marathon reserves the right to change the course as needed prior to race date.  In accordance with the guidelines issued by USA Track & Field and Wheelchair Sports USA, only runners, walkers and wheelchair participants will be allowed on the course.   

All police will have the ability to radio for medical assistance.

Amarillo Marathon is an all-volunteer organization, and we could not present this event without the generous support of our race volunteers and sponsors. This is truly a community event and we do our best to support members of the community who have donated their valuable time to help ensure that our participants' needs are addressed.
