Presentation by Kurt Fowler

Join Kurt Fowler of The Steel Index for a market overview and outlook including end use market updates and a review of new tools and opportunities in the market for scrap companies. As a part of the market overview, Kurt will assess specific end use markets that drive steel consumption in the region including Residential Construction, Automotive, Energy, etc. Lastly, Kurt will present specific tools and opportunities available to scrap companies in N. America as well as reference other markets within TSI's markets.

Kurt is a Sr. Manager, Americas for The Steel Index (TSI) a specialist pricing index provider in the ferrous markets globally. TSI is a part of the Platts Metals group which is owned by McGraw Hill Financial.

The Steel Index (TSI) provides pricing indices covering ferrous scrap, iron ore, coking coal and finished steel products in strategic global locations for each commodity. Office locations include London, Singapore,
Shanghai and Pittsburgh to effectively cover the global ferrous markets and their continued evolution.

Mr. Fowler has been involved in the steel industry for nearly 13 years. Prior to joining TSI, he spent 6 years as the Managing Director for a ferrous market data product. Prior to that he worked at Hatch Consulting. Mr. Fowler earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a MBA & MS-MoIS from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
