All proceeds from the race will benefit Segs4Vets; a 501c(3) non-profit gifting mobility devices (Segways) to combat injured military of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

Segs4Vets started in 2005 and has since awarded over 1,500 mobility devices to injured men & women who have served our country.

Chip timing is required to be eligible for awards. No duplicate awards given.

Segs4Vets, a nonprofit organization, awards Segways to men and women of the United States military who have sustained severe injuries while serving our Nation in Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation Enduring Freedom.

The program began in 2005 as an unprecedented grass-roots effort by volunteers who passionately believed when those serving our Nation are sent into harm's way resulting in permanent disability, they must have every resource available to them to assist in choosing the path of independence rather than dependence upon return. That same objective continues today: to enhance our recipients' mobility, to provide them with role models and a roadmap so that he or she can remove or avoid frustrations that might inhibit their ability to live an independent, joyful life.
