What is an Afterglow 5k?
The Afterglow 5K is a 5K Run/Walk that is an unique event that is less about how fast you run and more about the experience--getting your 'glow' on (i.e. glow stick bracelets, necklaces, etc.) and having a good time with your family and friends. Whether you are a casual walker or an avid runner, The Afterglow 5K invites you to come be a part of the fun!

Participants?
Runners and walkers can register as individuals, or sign up as part of a team. Teams are made up of four or more runners. If your team has four or more runners, you will receive a discount (see prices below).

Where and when do I purchase my glow accessories?
Your glow accessories are included in the registration fee and will be given to you with your registration packet, however, we encourage participants to bring more if they choose.

When?
Saturday, June 18th, 2016. 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Pickup registration packet on Friday, June 17 at Carroll High School (2809 North Grant Road, Carroll, Iowa 51401) or before the race from 7:00-10:00pm at the Sauk Rail Trail Houlihan Access. Race Starts at 10:00 PM.

Where?
The 5K will be run on the Sauk Tail. You can park in the parking lot of the Sauk Rail Trail Houlihan Access (20746 200th St. Carroll, IA 51401) or in the parking lot of H&H Sports (321 US-71, Carroll, IA 51401). Please be early or on time!

Cost?
$25 Per individual registered by June 3rd
$20 Per individual on a team of 4 or more registered by June 3rd
$10 Per individual registered from June 4th to June 18th (you will not receive a shirt or glow accessories)

What is the difference between signing up as a team vs. an individual registration?
Each team member will run the entire 5K, there is no relay element to the event. Signing up on a team is just a great way to have fun with friends and save some money!

Is there a limited number of runners allowed at The Afterglow 5K?
No, we encourage everyone to come be a part of the fun!

Is the event timed?
The Afterglow 5K is not a timed event. Runners and walkers tend to take their sweet time out there, and we realize only a few people really care about their speed. The Afterglow 5K is all about having fun with friends and family while giving back to community. You can run, walk, crawl, or dance if you wish. We suggest self-timing for anyone desiring a finish time.

Are strollers allowed at The Afterglow 5K?
Yes, strollers are welcome. We just ask that you please start at the back of the field for everyone's safety.

Are pets allowed at The Afterglow 5K?
Yes, pets are allowed at The Afterglow 5K. We just ask that you please control your pets and make sure you have a leash.

Is there an age limit at The Afterglow 5K?
No, there is no age limit. Young or old, everybody is welcome and encouraged to participate.

What is included with my Afterglow 5K Registration?
Participants receive a custom Afterglow 5K t-shirt and glow accessories.

When and where do I pick up my race packet for The Afterglow 5K?

Do I have to wear my Afterglow 5K t-shirt?
We do encourage you to wear the Afterglow 5K t-shirt but you are welcome to wear whatever you like. We know that teams can get really creative with costumes and shirts, and we don't want to discourage that so please let your creativity run wild.

I registered for the The Afterglow 5K but now can't participate, can I receive a refund?
Sorry but unfortunately, we can't issue refunds. If you can't make it to the run, you can still pick up your packet and Afterglow 5K t-shirt at a later time.

I registered but now I can't participate, can I transfer my registration to someone else?
You can transfer your entry to another person by contacting us.

I don't want to participate, but I want to make a donation. Where can I do this at?
