Event Information |
Twenty-one year old Aaron (Bubba) Brown is a Denison native that has special needs. He was a victim of abuse in a special care facility in 2009. This race is our stand against all forms of abuse against children who cannot speak for or defend themselves. Please join us in this fight and give these children a voice of their own! April was first declared Child Abuse Prevention Month by Presidential proclamation in 1985. Since then, people and organizations who are dedicated to protecting children have used this special time of year to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse in all its forms. All proceeds of this event go directly to Mercy Child Advocacy Center which is one of these organizations. Come help us stand up and show our support for the people who support Iowa's youth in their times of need!!! For more information on Child Abuse Prevention Month go to www.childwelfare.gov/preventing/preventionmonth
We would like to thank our generous sponsors as well as the Crawford County Conservation Dept for allowing us the use of Yellow Smoke Park!
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers!
