Date/Time: Saturday May 7th, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Union Grove Lake in Union Grove State Park in Tama County, Iowa.

Road race with 5 small hills and 1 large hill around scenic Union Grove Lake. The runners/walkers will start and end the race in the parking lot for the beach.

All proceeds of the race will be directed to Partners in Education for GMG Elementary School for the benefit of the Playground Resurfacing Project. Said Resurfacing Project is to replace current playground covering with a safer material which should reduce injuries.

All pre-registered runners/walkers will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt with their packet pickup. In order to be guaranteed a t-shirt, please preregister by May 2nd, 2016. Late registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt. THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $2.00 FEE FOR XXL T-SHIRTS. Late registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

Age Divisions: 12 & under, 13 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, and 60 + (both male and female categories).

Awards: Prizes will be given to top male and female finishers in both the 5K and the 10K events. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each division. Awards must be picked up in person on race morning and they will not be mailed.

Parking will be provided on site at the beach.

Due to insurance requirements, and for the safety and convenience of all participants, NO PETS, ROLLER SKATES OR BICYCLES are permitted on the course. HEADSETS ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED.

The race will take place on May 7th, 2016 rain or shine UNLESS severe weather conditions threaten the safety of the participants. In the event of severe weather, the race will be cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Registration fees will not be refunded. Partners in Education appreciates your donation
