All proceeds from the race, after expenses, will go directly to the Lincoln Memorial Garden.

8K:
The rolling and sometimes flat course will be held on the grounds of the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Ostermeier Prairie Center, and along Forest Ridge. The trails inside the Gardens are mostly double/triple track and the make-up of the trail is dirt, mulch, limestone, and paved roads. The course will include at least one water stop that will be passed twice for your convenience. Environmentally friendly ground markings as well as eye-level directional signs, as needed, will be displayed/provided.

Kid's Fun Run:
The kid's fun run will be held on the Lincoln Memorial Garden's property located on the east side of East Lake Drive. The course is generally flat and will consist of running through a path cut in the prairie grass and over a bridge which spans a pond. Environmentally friendly ground markings will help direct the kids along the course.

Shirts are guaranteed to all entrants if registered prior to May 2, 2016. After that date, shirts/ shirt size availability cannot be guaranteed.

Finisher's medals will be given to all the athletes crossing the finisher line. Age group awards will be given to the overall Male and Female, the top Male and Female in the Master's division, and to the top 1/3 or top 3 (whichever is greater) in each of the following age group categories:

• 14 and under[*]15-19[*]20-24[*]25-29[*]30-34[*]35-39[*]40-44[*]45-49[*]50-54[*]55-59[*]60-64[*]65-69[*]70-74[*]75-79[*]80 and over

Walkers will be eligible for age group awards

Awards will not be given for the Kid's Fun Run but they can expect finisher's medals.

The 8K event will be a time trial start, with the faster runners at the front, and will be utilizing tag timing. Overall & Age Group awards will be based solely on chip time. The timing device is disposable and will be located on the bib. All runners must wear their bib to be scored.

The Kid's Fun Run will not be timed.

The use of personal music devices is PROHIBITED for this race. This is to ensure all participants enjoy everything that the event has to offer and for the safety of all participants.

The race director(s) reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the race due to adverse weather or emergency conditions that make race conditions unsafe. In the event the race is cancelled, there will be no refunds.
