Course Details |
Marathon, ½ Marathon and 5K:
All three races will consist of an out and back course on the beautiful Heritage Trail. Trail is relatively flat, and made of crushed limestone. It may be snow covered, in which case cross country skiing or snowshoeing are welcome. The course will be self-supported. Marathoners and ½ marathoners will begin promptly at 10am, and the 5k will begin at 10:15am.

Parking will be available at Burtons Furnace Road, roadside near the Handle Bar in Durango, IA.

Saturday, January 16th
5-9pm: Packet Pickup and Race Registration Best Western, Dubuque
Sunday, January 17th
8-9:45am: Packet Pickup and Race Registration Durango Depot, the Handle Bar
10am: Marathon and ½ Marathon Start
10:15am: 5k Run/ Walk Start
10:45am-?: Post-Race Party, the Handle Bar
11:15am: 5k Awards
1:00pm: ½ Marathon Awards
3:30pm: Marathon Awards

Awards |
Prize money to the top male and female finishers for the marathon, ½ marathon, and 5k runs.
Finishers medals to all participants.
Post-race refreshments, and door prizes will be provided at the Handle Bar in Durango, Iowa.
