As a tribute to our friend Susan Denk, who passed away very unexpectedly last year at the age of 39, we would like to invite you to like to a Fun Run/Walk in her honor. We all know Susan enjoyed animals and adored her own dog, Maddie, so we have opened this run up to pets too! So bring your 4 legged babies to join in the fun! (We'd appreciate it if you keep them on a leash and bring the necessary bags to clean up any "accidents". We want to make sure to leave the trail as clean as we can for future bikers and runners.)

This is a FUN run/walk, so there will be no timing, no awards and nothing fancy, but there will be good old-fashioned FUN! We will have a 5k route marked, but there is no pressure to go the distance. The key is to come out, bring your friends/family/pets and enjoy the day, so you are welcome to run/walk a shorter distance if you don't feel like completing a full 5k.

The event takes place on the Flint River Trail at the intersection of Flint Bottom Road and Prairie Grove.

Race starts at 9:00AM

All proceeds will be split between the Des Moines County Humane Society and the Flint River Trail. I hope you can help us support this cool cause and the wonderful person we'll always remember in Susan.
