Event Information

Celebrate the eve of the *7th Annual IUPUI* Regatta canoe race down the canal with the RUNgatta 5K Run/Walk.

  • The IUPUI RUNgatta 5K Run/Walk supports IUPUI students scholarships, and all participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item to support Paws Pantry.
  • The event will start/finish in White River State Park, in front of the NCAA.
  • The race course will take you on a scenic route around the downtown canal where crews are setting up for the following day's Regatta.
  • Awards will be given to top 3 male and female competitors.
  • Public Parking available in the IUPUI Sports Complex Garage (875 W. New York Street), or White River State Park Parking Garage.
  • T-shirts are included for all pre-registered participants (and race day, availability pending).
  • After the race, join IUPUI students in the Taylor Hall Courtyard for a celebration and concert sponsored by the IUPUI Student Activities Programming Board (SAPB - eventually include URL for more info).
  • All participants are encouraged to bring a canned good or non-perishable item to donate to Paw's Pantry, an IUPUI food pantry.
  • New this year is a team competition!
  • Race day fees are an additional $5 for individuals only.

    		 Team Information

  • All teams must pre-register as a team with a team name.
  • Teams must consist of 2-4 runners/walkers.
  • Teams are encouraged to dress in costume related to the Regatta Theme, May the Oars be Ever in your Favor, with a fun team name (team names and costumes must comply with the IUPUI Student Code of Conduct).
    • [*]Teams will be recognized during the Award Ceremony for their creativity and enthusiasm (more information will be sent to registered teams).
