CIARAD's 15th annual Prairie Fun Run/Walk will be held Saturday, July 25 in Prairie City, Iowa during the town's annual Prairie Days celebration. A chip timed 5K walk/run and 10K run will start at 8:00 a.m. and includes a scenic tour of the community and rural settings. The terrain is relatively flat and the road is open to vehicles, runners will be directed by volunteers and police.

Prairie City is located just 18 miles east of Des Moines on Hwy 163. From the east or west take Hwy 163 to Exit 18. From the north take Hwy 117.

Check in and late registration: 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 at the Prairie City Recreational Complex.

Start Location: The starting line will be located at the west end of the Recreational Complex on S. Norris Street. The Prairie City Recreational Complex is located on the southwest edge of Prairie City adjoining Ashtyn Lane and S. Norris Street.

Parking: Is available in the lot at the east end of the Recreational Complex (near the finish line) and also at the United Methodist Church, 706 W. Mcmurray Street (a few blocks from the start line). Please avoid parking on streets on the race route.

Awards ceremony will take place after the race and full results will be available at www.fitnesssports.com.
First, second and third place medals will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers of the 5K and 10K in each of the following age divisions:

9 and under; ages 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and ages 60 and up.
