Ride Details

Redhook Brewery commemorates the May 18th, 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens with the 20th annual Haul Ash Tour de Brew. Over the years, Haul Ash has become a great tradition for cyclists and Redhook enthusiasts alike.

RIDE round trip from Redhook Brewery in Woodinville to Fremont along the scenic Burke-Gilman Trail. Stop along the trail in Kenmore at Super Supplements' Hydration Station for complimentary refreshments and a restroom break. Once in Fremont, quench your thirst with a cold pint at the midway station at the LTD Bar & Grill.

DISTANCE: 42 miles round trip, flat course
RIDE TIME: 2.5 - 4 hours
PARKING: Available at Redhook and designated neighboring lots

Post Pedal Party

PARTY after the ride back at Redhook with beer, hot food and live music. Admission to the Post Pedal Party is included in the rider registration fee. Be sure to invite your friends and family to meet you back at the brewery to celebrate your triumphant trek with you! The party is open to the public with a suggested $5 donation to The Hope Heart Institute. All ages are welcome. ID required for bar service. Food, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Cash and credit cards accepted. No outside food or beverages allowed inside the Post Pedal Party. Re-entry okay. Party ends at 4pm.

The Route

After departing Redhook, turn left on the path adjacent to NE 145th Street, cross the bridge, turn left and head north on the Sammamish River Trail. Meander along the Sammamish River Trial until it connects to the Burke-Gilman Trail, then stop at the Hydration Station in Kenmore at Super Supplements for complimentary refreshments and a restroom break. Views of Lake Washington and Lake Union will inspire you to the midway point in Fremont, the birthplace of Redhook. Upon arriving in Fremont, turn right off of the trail onto Phinney Ave N and continue half a block north toward N 36th Street. Turn left into the parking lot adjacent to the LTD Bar and Grill, where you will be greeted by bike attendants. If you are 21+, you can enjoy a cold pint of Redhook beer by redeeming a beer ticket at the LTD Bar and Grill or you can opt to ride back to Redhook to redeem your beer tickets at the Post Pedal Party.

*T-shirts and available sizes for riders registering the day-of are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.

**Riders 21+ may redeem their tickets for beer at the LTD Bar & Grill and/or at the Post Pedal Party, or all riders may redeem their tickets for non-alcoholic beverages at the Post Pedal Party. Tickets will not be accepted in the Redhook Pub.

Support for The Hope Heart Institute is provided through your registration fee and generous Post Pedal Party donations ($1 from each registration is donated to The Hope). The mission of The Hope Heart Institute is to serve humanity through cardiovascular research and education.
