About YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln

A beautiful gift like YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln is something that has to be shared with the entire world. That's why our staff put together such an incredible array of programs.

We want to get everyone involved in activities that not only help to grow a healthy spirit, mind and body, but grow a healthy spirit, mind and body in a wilderness environment that gives a perfect example of how amazing God is.

Camp allows children to experience something that they could not experience anywhere else. Give those kids the opportunity to be a part of something that will change their life forever, just as it has been changing children's lives for over 85 years.

Our facility, located 15 minutes from downtown Davenport, is available year-round for group retreats, school trips, church getaways and anything else you can imagine. Our 300 person dining hall is also the perfect getaway for a picturesque wedding and reception.

Ambassador Program

Camper to Camper Ambassador Program. What better way to earn money to come to camp than by getting your friends to come along as well. This program is a great way to make camp more affordable but to also ensure the best time possible for your little camper. If your child's friends come along with them, the more fun they are going to have at camp.

For every resident camper or resident horse camper that you get to sign up, you receive $50 in Camp Abe Lincoln bucks that can be used for anything at camp. For every Day Camper, Kinder Camper and Starter Camper that you get to sign up, we will give you $25 in Camp Abe Lincoln bucks.

That means that if you get all your children's friends to come with, you could go to camp for FREE. All you have to do is fill out the 'Camper to Camper Ambassador Form' and turn it in to Camp Abe Lincoln, and then go out and get all your child's friends to attend.

An Additional Payment Plan Option (Budget Plan)

Please click below for download-able PDF:

Budget Plan

The new budget plan is a great way to make camp easier to financially manage. What you do is make a $50 payment every month from January until June, which totals $300, and when camp is finally here your child get to go. That's right, we are going to give you a $65 discount just by signing up for the budget plan and paying that way.

All you have to do is fill out the 'Budget Plan Form' and turn it in to us with January's payment before the end of January and you are signed up. As long as you make your payments before the end of each month, you are qualified.

We also may be able to do automatic withdraw which could save you the time of having to write a check every month.

Resident Camp (Overnight) - Ages 8 to 13

Our week-long resident camp introduces campers to a world of discovery and magic. Campers live together in cabin groups with up to 14 children around their own age and gender and two well-trained counselors to help guide their week. In this community, they will experience a variety of activities that will help them develop new skills and build self-esteem.

Resident campers have their choice of activities (archery, canoes and kayaks, arts and crafts, etc.) to tailor the experience to best fit their interests. Evenings bring the entire camp together for all camp games and campfires. Campers enjoy a week of fun, friends, and adventure with a focus on individual growth, relationship building and the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Our goal is for campers to leave with new friends, memories that will last a life time, and a deeper understanding of their own potential.

Camp will send buses to all the Scott County branches as well as Muscatine and the Two Rivers YMCA in Moline each morning to pick up your child and will bus them home in the evening.

This allows all children from all across the Quad Cities a chance to participate in all the amazing programs that Camp Abe Lincoln has to offer.

Transportation Fee if needed is $25 per week.

Trading Post

Camp Abe Lincoln has a trading post which allows campers to buy anything from snacks and beverages to t-shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles and key chains. Before camp begins, parents can deposit money into their campers trading post accounts and then during camp campers can purchase items from the trading post.

This is a great chance for campers to bring some gifts home as well as some memories to put on their shelves.

Scholarships to go to Camp (Camper-ships)

It is our belief here at Camp Abe Lincoln that no one should be turned away from camp due to an inability to pay. If you feel that you can not send your child to camp due to financial reasons, please let us know.

We have Camperships (scholarships for campers) that were given by community members specifically for that cause. Every child has the right to an amazing camping experience. For info on how to receive a Campership, call Camp Abe Lincoln at (563) 381-3053 or stop by any of the Scott County Family Y branches and fill out a Financial Aid form and turn it in for Camp and we will contact you.

Everyone can come to Camp Abe Lincoln.
