The Have a Heart 5k is run in honor of Ashley Gonyo, a student at Sacred Heart School in West Des Moines. Ashley was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) on February 20th, 2013 and has undergone 15+ months of chemotherapy. Please join us on August 17, 2014 for the 2nd Annual Have a Heart 5k. Money raised from the event will be donated to local charities that support families affected by childhood cancer.

Start time is set for 8:00 AM on Sunday, August 17th.

All 5K participants will receive a t-shirt. Sizes - Youth S, M, L Adult XS, S, M, L, XL

A FREE Children's FUN RUN for 12 and under will be held after the 5K (approx. 9:00 AM) - T-Shirts will be available for purchase on race day for $5.00

KONA ICE will also be on hand making shaved ice. They will donate 35% of all proceeds to Have a Heart!

PLUS:There will also be Children's activities including Debbie Doo Wop, CASH PRIZES TO TOP 4 MALE AND FEMALE RUNNERS, and a 50/50 Raffle.

Race day registration:
$30 for 18 and older and $20 for 17 and under.
