Evansville Half Marathon presented by German American

Featuring a brand new course for 2014! We will start and finish the 2014 Evansville Half Marathon along the Riverfront in downtown Evansville. This beautiful , scenic course will wind through many of Evansville's favorite areas. Highlights of the course are The Greenway, Garvin Park, Bosse Field, Main Street, Bayard Park, historic neighborhoods, and a riverfront finish.

The 13.1 mile course is primarily flat. No strollers, bicycles, pets or headphones are allowed on the course. The course will officially close after 4 hours 30 minutes. Please be advised that portions of the course will remain open to traffic.

There will be one at the start and one at the finish. Along the course there will be 8 additional aid stations (approximately every 1.5 miles). In addition, ProRehab will provide medical assistance at various locations along the course.

All Evansville Half Marathon participants will receive an official t-shirt, bib number and goodie bag.

All participants who finish under 4.5 hours will receive a finisher's medal.

The top 10 men and women finishers will receive special finishing awards and age group awards will be given to the top four in each category.

The Evansville Half Marathon Expo and Packet Pick-up will allow participants to browse through the booths of the many fitness vendors, sponsors and clubs as well as purchase official race merchandise and register for the event.

The Expo location is Vectren Headquarters at the corner of Riverside Drive and Court Street.

Join American long-distance runner Dane Rauschenberg for a pasta dinner and hear him speak about his experiences overcoming life's obstacles. Whether you are an athlete or not, learn how to push past your doubts, conquer your failures and make what matters to you most a reality.

The IPICO timing system will be utilized.
Your timing sensor will be attached to your race bib. Your bib should be worn on the front of your shirt for the duration of the race. The IPICO tag interacts with sensor mats at the start, finish and various locations along the course to provide the actual time that it takes each runner to complete the 13.1 mile route. Each participant must wear a tag in order to receive a time. Official scoring will be provided by The End Result LLC.
