Event Timeline

8:00 a.m. - Packet pickup/Race day registration ($30 fee)
9:00 a.m. - 10K Starts (Timed)
9:10 a.m. - 5K Starts (Timed)

Beneficiary

Proceeds from the St. Patrick's run/walk will be used by the Wellness department to continue its mission of enriching the lives of everyone living in the Hutchinson and Reno County area through its fitness and wellness programs.

The Hutch Y is a 501c (3) non-profit, volunteer-led community organization, serving Hutchinson and the surrounding communities since 1876.

Race Route

The 10K & 5K and 1 Mile run/walk races will all start and finish at the northwest parking lot of the homebuilder's shelter. Race course will be marked. To receive a copy of the route please e-mail request to Suresh at smenon@hutchymca.org.

Packet Pick-up

Race participants can pick their race packets on Friday,
February 28 from:
** The Y between 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and
** Homebuilders Shelter between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

It is highly recommended to pre-register & pick up your packet prior to race day.

Awards

  • Top overall male and female with the best time for
  • the 10K/ 5K
  • Top masters male and female (40 +) with the best
  • time for 10K/5K
  • Top three male and female finishers in each age
  • group for 10K/5K (no duplicates): 6-10, 11-19, 20-
    29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
  • Awards to all 1 Mile participants who complete the
  • race. Parent / Guardian can accompany children.

Costume Contest

Dress up and complete the run/walk in your best St.
Patrick's costume. Prizes awarded to Best adult male and female costume, Best child male and female (age 14 & under)
and top pair.

Weather Cancellation/Refund Policies

In case of inclement weather, the committee will reserve the right to cancel the event. Safety of the participants is our top priority. Due to the cost of putting together this event, refunds will not be given. No makeup dates will be scheduled. Instead we will have a party and celebrate.

Refreshments will be served inside the Homebuilders shelter. Everyone is invited.

Chip Timing

We will be using the BIBTAG chip timing system. Your race number is your "chip" for timing. Participants, please make sure your bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso.

Results

Timing provided by Oz Endurance. Race results will be posted online at www.ozendurance.net.

Other Information

Race participants, families and friends are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. Volunteers will be on hand to provide assistance to participants.

Parking will be on the east side of Homebuilders Shelter.
