During a trivia night, a master of ceremonies reads trivia questions split up into different categories or rounds. The questions are then answered by teams that are registered for the event. Teams consist of up to 8 people. At the end of each round, a representative from each team turns in its answers to a panel of judges who then calculate the scores for each team. The teams compete against one another with the top team receiving $200 plus a free table at the next Ames Trivia Night. In addition, teams bring food and beverages (nonalcoholic) and are encouraged to dress in costume for the event. A prize will also be given for the best team name/ costumes!

A credit/debit card is required to register online.

All proceeds go to the Central Iowa National Alliance on Mental Illness and KHOI Community Radio. Both organizations have non-profit 501c3 status.

If an individual would like to buy a table, but not participate in the actual trivia night, he/she will be recognized as a donor for the event during the evening. Please call 515-292-2878 for more information.

Teams should bring their own food and drink. No alcohol is permitted. A live dessert auction will be held throughout the night. Bid on a sweet treat for your trivia team!
