Benefitting Michael's Memories - Michael's Memories was founded locally in 2011 by a Coppell, TX firefighter, Michael Williams, who fought and won his own battle with cancer. Michael became inspired to help other firefighters and their families "getaway" from cancer. The mission is to provide firefighters with cancer the opportunity to enjoy an all-expense paid vacation with their family, giving them the opportunity to escape the stress, trauma, and financial impact that undergoing the treatment of cancer creates.

Michael's Memories is a grassroots charity with every dollar raised going directly to the selected recipients. Many people volunteer many hours, administratively and in hands on roles, to support the mission of Michael's memories. We at Dallas Athletes Racing will be striving to help Michael's Memories meet their 2014 goal of sending two families affected by cancer on a "getaway" from cancer vacation.

The Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation (TPCAF) provides funds to individuals through the Officer Death Benefit Program. If a Texas law enforcement officer is killed in the line of duty, the foundation delivers a check to the surviving spouse, children, or parents in order to provide immediate funds to a family in time of crisis.

Distance classification: HALF-MARATHON & 10K RUN

The course will start and finish around Williams Square area with much of the race taking place on the beautiful Campion Trails. A post-race party is planned with food, drink and live music.

This is pretty simple, like Forest Gump, "We are running!" on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Here is where the sweat flies. The course starts and finishes in beautiful downtown Las Colinas, TX by Williams Square.The course is pretty much "hill-less" on the scenic and wooded Campion Trail. The day will include a half marathon (13.1 miles) and 10k run (6.2 miles). We are hard at work to make this a memorable day.
