Thumbs Up 5K Walk/Run - 2011

The 5K Run/Walk will take place on August 13th, 2011. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. The Walk and the 5K Run will start at 10:30AM.
The course will Start and Finish at Kestrel Point and loop around Winton Lake and to Hawk Knoll and back.

After the race stick around for awards, Cornhole Tournament and refreshments!

Overall Male and Female winners of the 5k will win an exclusive award.
Each 5K Male and Female winner in the following age groups will also receive an award: 8-under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Jennifer Linnabary is the proud mother of Rebecca and Ben, and wife of Tim Linnabary. They are members of Messiah Lutheran Church, Greenhills. Jennifer is co-founder of Project SEARCH, a program that helps disabled individuals get good, long-term jobs with competitive salaries. Her program spans almost all 50 states and several countries.

This March Jennifer was re-diagnosed with mantel cell lymphoma, a rare aggressive cancer. She is in remission and is currently recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Jennifer is on medical leave, her family without income. This race is an opportunity to let this special family know how much we appreciate the family and Jennifer's many contributions to our community and to disabled people across the country and around the world.
